The Wonders of Artificial Greenery
The Wonders of Artificial Greenery
14 Jun 2019Artificial Greenery has been one of the biggest trends of the year. We’re here for it!
Since our greenery has become a significant competitor within the UK artificial flower market, the team here at Easy Florist have put together this greenery guide. Learn about the wonders of greenery and start creating the greenery arrangements you’ve been dreaming of today!
Artificial Greenery
Spice up your floral arrangements by experimenting with greenery. Ultimately, arranging artificial greenery is no different from arranging fresh flowers. In fact, some florists say arranging with artificial greenery is much easier than fresh flowers. There are no worries about the flowers falling apart whilst arranging, so what’s not to love.
Essentials you'll need to arrange artifical greenery:
- Wire Cutters
- Foam
- Greenery Stems
Popular artificial greenery:
- Rucus (used in this picture)
- Ferns (used in this picture)
- Eucalupus
- Grass stems
Florist Tip: remember greenery with large leaves aren't ideal for arranging in floral arrangements such as bouquets. Unless you use them as a collar, you do not want the back of the leaves to show. Sometimes the back of leaves can look plasticy and unrealistic, so smaller filler greenery is suitable such as ruscus and ferns.
Artificial greenery is perfect for decorating pubs, restaurants, hotels, shops and events with an on-trend style. We’ve been seeing artificial greenery nearly everywhere we go. Long artificial greenery garlands can be used to decorate pretty much anything.
Popular greenery garlands:
- Ivy garlands
- Rattan garlands (used in the picture on the left)
- Rose & leaf garlands
Lay them on tables and bars, wrap around beams, hang on them wall, use them as backdrops, they’re just an all-round essential if you’re decorating rooms with a greenery style.
Greenery Walls
If you’re decorating on a larger scale, greenery walls are for you. With a strong plastic grid backing, they’re so easy to assemble. Assure you have a background or trellis and attach the walls with cable ties.
You can link any extra flowers or greenery to the walls with cable ties too.
Coming soon!
We currently offer one basic greenery wall, and we have new selection greenery walls coming soon to our website. These new greenery walls will be UV colour protected so will not fade after they're exposed to light.
You could use these to decorate any walls inside your room or location! Keep an eye on our blog for updates!
