How to Make a Frosted Artificial Wreath

Make a gorgeous, show-stopping artificial wreath this Christmas.

The base of this frosted wreath is a premade moss ring, making this a great wreath to make if you want to save time on creating a base from scratch and skip straight to the decorating!

We’ve used a mixture of foliage and flowers from our brand new frosted range including glitter-dusted Christmas roses, glistening twig branches and frosted eucalyptus.

This wreath truly is an enchanting decoration suitable for your home & door.

Difficulty: Easy

Time to Create: 40 minutes

You Will Need:

For this make you are going to need the following products:

1 x 10 Inch Moss Ring

1 x Snowy Twig Branch

3 x Frosted Eucalyptus Spray

2 x Christmas Rose Spray

1 x Green Wire

1 x Wire Cutters

1 x Scissors

How to Make:

1. Start by cutting your foliage and flowers into individual stems so that they can be added one piece at a time to the wreath. Don’t worry too much about the exact length of each stem, we found that having a mixture of sizes works best for building up a natural looking arrangement.

2. Now we’re going to secure our wire to the wreath. Take your roll of green wire and wrap the end of your wire around the moss wreath ring a few times to secure it. Pierce the loose end of the wire into the wreath to hide it. Make sure not to cut your wire from the reel.

3. To start adding the foliage, take one of your eucalyptus sections and place it onto your wreath ring. Take your wire reel and wrap it a few times around your wreath, making sure to include your eucalyptus stem. Now your first piece of foliage should be sitting tight between your wreath and the wire.

4. From this point you can start building up your wreath in exactly the same way as the pervious step. Add sections of foliage one stem at a time and secure to the wreath by wrapping a few times in the wire. Keep adding the foliage in the same direction and work your way around the wreath, slightly overlapping your stems as you move round. This builds up the depth of the arrangement.

5. Once you have made your way around approximately ¼ of the wreath. begin to add your foliage in the opposite direction. Continue this until you meet the last section.

6. Don’t worry if where your two sections meet looks a little sparse, take some smaller stems of foliage and flowers and add these one at a time in all directions to the wreath, securing with the wire. This will make this area of the wreath look much fuller.

7. If you fancy including a finishing touch, add a silver/white bow just slightly off centre of the wreath. For a more detailed guide on how to create floral bows see How to Make a Traditional Artificial Wreath. Attach the bow to the wreath using the green wire.

8. For hanging, take a length of ribbon (the exact length depends on how low you want your wreath to hang) and wrap around the moss wreath ring. Secure the two loose ribbon ends in a tight knot.
